Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Professional in St. Bernard, Ohio. This role provides daily on-site safety oversight for construction and operational activities related to oil & gas–adjacent waste-to-energy systems.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, field-oriented, and comfortable working directly with supervision and client EHS teams to ensure compliance and safe execution of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily on-site safety support
- Conduct daily safety observations and correct unsafe acts/conditions
- Deliver daily safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Support and conduct site safety training as required
- Prepare and submit safety reports to site supervision and Veolia EHS
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance
- Interface directly with client representatives and field personnel
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant safety experience (construction, industrial, oil & gas, or similar)
- OSHA 30 certification (required)
- Experience performing field-based safety oversight
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently on-site
Preferred Qualifications
- Safety-related degree (Occupational Safety, EHS, or similar)
- Additional safety certifications (ASP, CSP, CHST, etc.)
- Experience supporting industrial or energy-related projects
