This is a Federal Work Study (FWS) position.
IT Helpdesk Computer Assistants will primarily work in Coulter Library (Coulter Hall C240).
IT Helpdesk Computer Assistants will assist students with:
Connecting to the OCC-Public wireless network.
D2L-Brightspace.
Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
MyOCC , Student Planning.
OCC System navigation.
General OCC related technology issues and questions.
The student worker will need to interact well with students on a one to one basis, helping them to get started, answering questions and resolving issues. In addition, IT Helpdesk Computer Assistants monitor equipment, perform general housekeeping, and complete other tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
Must have a valid FAFSA on file
Must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA
Must be matriculated into a program
Attending at least half-time (6 credit hours)
Maintain satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program
Additional Information:
Pay Rate:
Starting rate of $16.00 for new Federal Work Studies.
Starting rate of $17.00 for returning Federal Work Studies
Hours of Operations: Monday-Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm
