At OneWell Health Care, the Direct Support Professional provides direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, administering medication, monitoring health conditions, and implementing individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies. Additional duties include assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, providing transportation to appointments and community activities, supporting the development of independent living skills, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum age requirement of 18 years
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License (Required)
Ability to reliably commute (Required)
Two (2) years’ experience working with Adults with IDD (Preferred)
Two (2) years’ experience working with Behavioral Management (Preferred)
First Aid and CPR Certification (Preferred)
Ability to lift and transfer individuals who may require assistnace
Med certification (Preferred)
