Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Encompass Administrator / Developer to own the administration, support, customization, and ongoing enhancement of our ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass environment. This role combines platform administration with hands-on development and technical problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who understands both the operational side of Encompass and the technical work required to improve it.

The right candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the system, developing and supporting custom solutions, managing integrations, improving workflows, and partnering with business and technical teams to deliver a reliable and efficient user experience. This position plays a key role in ensuring Encompass continues to meet business needs while supporting growth, performance, and innovation across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Administer, configure, and support the Encompass platform, including users, roles, permissions, templates, settings, and overall system maintenance
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Encompass customizations including input forms, custom forms, print forms, business rules, field triggers, workflows, and automation
  • Support and enhance solutions built through Encompass Developer Connect and Standalone Applications
  • Manage and troubleshoot Encompass integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend solutions, and translate operational needs into scalable system enhancements
  • Support implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plugins and custom solutions, including experience with Infinity Solutions and Kensie Mae environments when applicable
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve speed, stability, usability, and overall platform efficiency
  • Support testing, deployment, change management, and documentation for new enhancements and system updates
  • Troubleshoot user issues, system errors, and integration failures, and work through root cause analysis to deliver effective resolutions
  • Provide end-user support and guidance on Encompass functionality, workflows, and best practices
  • Ensure system changes and configurations align with internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit expectations

Education and Experience

  • 3 years of hands-on experience supporting and developing within ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass
  • Strong experience with both Encompass administration and Encompass development in a combined capacity
  • Experience with Standalone Applications and Encompass Developer Connect
  • Strong knowledge of Encompass configuration, custom forms, business rules, workflow automation, and user administration
  • Solid understanding of mortgage operations, loan lifecycle processes, and LOS functionality
  • Experience troubleshooting system issues, integrations, and user-impacting problems in a production environment
  • Ability to gather business requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infinity Solutions and Kensie Mae plugins or related Encompass enhancement tools
  • Experience supporting or integrating with Blend
  • Familiarity with Consumer Connect and TPO Connect
  • Experience with API integrations, system interoperability, and vendor-supported mortgage technology solutions
  • Experience in mortgage banking, lending operations, or financial services environments
  • Familiarity with testing, release management, and production support best practices

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Encompass integrations such as Blend, SimpleNexus, Consumer Connect, Optimal Blue, Salesforce, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac.
  • Encompass 360 experience with Encompass SDK stand-alone applications, plugins, codebase forms, creating dynamic input forms, managing the reporting database, advanced coding of business rules, admin knowledge etc.
  • Ability to understand software requirement specifications, deployment plans, and maintenance plans.
  • Experience in advanced coding of business rules, as well as coding skills such as VBScript/VB.NET/C#.
  • Working knowledge of Ellie Mae's TPO Connect.
  • Knowledge of system testing and ability to design, plan, and execute system testing strategies and tactics.
  • Design and implement solutions by creating new workflows, input forms, code base assemblies, plugins, and standalone applications
