Job Description Nurse Practitioner (NP) Vacaville, CA Overview: Our outpatient weight loss clinic in Vacaville, CA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an August coverage assignment. This role offers competitive hourly compensation and the opportunity to support adult patients through medically supervised weight loss programs, all without the demands of call, weekends, or hospital responsibilities. Position Offers: Schedule: August 18, 20, 25 & 27: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM August 29: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Competitive hourly compensation: $75-80/hour (DOE), 1099 contractor position Malpractice coverage provided August coverage assignment Daytime outpatient schedule with no call, weekends, or hospital responsibilities Adult patient population (18 ), approximately 12-15 patients per day Practice Fusion Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage adult patients enrolled in medical weight loss programs Prescribe and monitor weight management medications, including semaglutide, tirzepatide, phentermine, phendimetrazine, and B12 injections Perform follow-up visits and medication management Document patient encounters in the EMR system Provide patient education on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans Collaborate with clinic staff to deliver high-quality outpatient care Qualifications: Active California NP license and DEA registration required Experience in Family Medicine, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Weight Loss, Wellness, or Obesity Medicine preferred Comfortable managing GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) therapies and other medical weight loss medications, with excellent communication and patient education skills Why Join Us: This assignment offers a Nurse Practitioner the chance to focus on specialized outpatient care with a flexible daytime schedule and no call, weekend, or hospital responsibilities.
