Senior Buyer (JOB ID 2266)

OneSparQ is looking for a Senior Buyer for a military and defense manufacturer in Morristown, NJ.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience in buying or purchasing manufacturing components
• Experience buying or purchasing in the military, defense, medical or aerospace industry
• Strong understanding of ERP systems
• Proficient in Excel
• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business

Additional Skills: (not required)

• Experience improving buying / purchasing processes

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing of machined components and complex assemblies in a high-pressure manufacturing environment
• Negotiate pricing, price breaks, long-term agreements, lead times, and priority commitments with suppliers
• Monitor purchasing performance including PPV, supplier delivery, material availability, and cost savings opportunities
• Build strong supplier relationships and proactively resolve shortages, delivery issues, and production constraints
• Manage purchasing activities through ERP systems while maintaining accurate supplier, pricing, and order information
• Identify and implement improvements to purchasing processes, supplier performance, and overall procurement efficiency
