Duties and Responsibilities:Help manage overall inventory plans for product categoriesNegotiate with vendors to reduce cost of current items as neededTrack purchase orders and ensure timely deliveryUpdate ERP system with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)Follow up with suppliers, as needed to confirm or change ordersFocus on improvement by participating in continuous improvement team activities.Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people on all levels and from various backgrounds.Other projects as duties as assigned.Authority:Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to the product, process, and quality system, including but not limited to, the following:· To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.· To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.· To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
