Indianapolis, IN Full Time
POSTED ON 3/30/2026 CLOSED ON 4/25/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Planner position at OneAdvocate Financial?

About OneAdvocate Financial

OneAdvocate Financial is an Indianapolis-based financial and employee benefits firm on a mission to fundamentally change how employers and their employees experience financial wellness. We restructure employer health benefits to free capital — then strategically redeploy that capital into real financial security for every employee through our proprietary Financial Wellness framework.

Our integrated approach connects health coverage, retirement planning, payroll, and personal financial planning into one coherent system — serving corporate clients across the nation.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Planner, you will be on the front lines of our client impact, working directly with employees of our corporate clients to create personalized Financial Wellness Plans. This is a relationship-driven role for an individual who believes that every working American deserves a real financial plan, not just a benefits package. We strive to always work in our client’s best interest.

You will be based out of our Indianapolis office with an established workspace, support staff, and access to our full suite of carrier and platform relationships.

What You'll Do

•       Work in-office at our Indianapolis headquarters, attending required trainings and doing your day to day work.

•       Meet one-on-one with employees at our corporate client companies to understand their financial picture, goals, and concerns.

•       Build personalized Financial Wellness Plans that incorporate health coverage, retirement savings, life insurance, and protection strategies.

•       Guide employees through our proven framework to ensure each plan is comprehensive and actionable.

•       Serve as a trusted advocate for employees navigating benefits decisions, 401(k) allocations, HSA strategies, and life insurance needs.

•       Collaborate with Senior Planners and our internal team to deliver seamless client experiences.

•       Maintain consistent follow-up with employees to review plan progress and adjust strategies as life circumstances change.

•       Stay current on products/solutions/strategies across our carrier network.

•       Contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity, and genuine advocacy for the people we serve.

What We're Looking For

•       We recognize that many of our candidates are recent or soon to be college graduates. As part of our onboarding process, we provide structured training and support to help you obtain your Indiana Life & health License shortly after your start date, with a long-term path toward additional securities licensing.

•       A genuine desire to help people — you find purpose in improving the financial lives of working individuals and families.

•       Strong interpersonal and communication skills; you can explain complex financial concepts in plain language.

•       Self-motivated and goal-oriented; commission-based environments energize rather than intimidate you.

•       High integrity and professionalism — you represent our brand and our clients with excellence.

•       Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage relationships across multiple corporate accounts.

•       Experience in financial services, insurance, or benefits is a plus — but not required if you bring the right mindset and drive.

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based position with uncapped earning potential. Compensation is directly tied to the value you create for our clients and the depth of relationships you build.

•       Uncapped commission structure — your earnings grow with your book of business.

•       Recurring income potential as you build and maintain long-term client relationships.

•       Access to a robust carrier network, in-house resources, and established corporate client relationships to accelerate your ramp.
