We’re hiring an AV Sales Account Manager to lead client relationships from first conversation through execution.
You will guide clients through the event-building process, helping them think through what they need, what they don’t need, and how to create an event that works both technically and experientially.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to execution
- Build trust by understanding client goals, pressures, and constraints
- Guide clients through decisions, not just respond to requests
- Position yourself as a thought partner, not a vendor
- Lead discovery calls and ask thoughtful, strategic questions
- Translate client needs into clear AV and production scopes
- Build and present proposals
- Recommend solutions that align with outcomes, not just budgets
- Work closely with internal production and operations teams
- Ensure a smooth handoff from sales → planning → execution
- Stay involved enough to ensure client confidence through the process
- Manage inbound leads and venue partner opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with planners, agencies, and venues
- Follow up consistently and thoughtfully
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
- You understand how events are actually built, from load-in to show flow
- You can anticipate problems before they happen
- You’re calm, confident, and solutions-oriented
- You make clients feel taken care of, not sold to
- You simplify complex decisions
- You listen more than you talk
- 3 years of experience in event production, AV, or live events
- Strong understanding of:
- Audio, video, and lighting
- Event timelines and logistics
- Experience building proposals and managing client relationships
- Comfortable leading conversations with planners and corporate clients
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- CRM experience
- Hospitality-first mindset
- Clear communication and accountability
- Team-oriented (sales and ops work closely together)
