Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, including preschool and toddler care.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Monitor and support children's behavior management, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support individual needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with children with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures and emergency response readiness.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or behavior management is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and nurturing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Passion for caregiving, babysitting, nannying, or working in daycare environments demonstrating patience and enthusiasm for child development.
