Dining Room Host(ess) (RP16)

The Dining Room Host(ess) provides the best dining experience to residents and their guests in a prompt and courteous fashion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Greets residents and guests, processes dinner tickets, escorts and assists residents with seating.
• Manages and controls the flow of the dining room efficiently; understands and makes every effort to accommodate resident preferences.
• Performs the role of team leader directing assignments to the Dining Room Servers, spot checks to ensure service standards are met and assists managers by monitoring customer satisfaction in the dining room.
• Organizes, reviews, sorts and processes Take Out orders
• Tallies the meals served and menu items for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner daily.
• Assists with dining room server duties as needed.

HOURS OF DUTY:

Day and Evening shifts available, must be able to work on holidays and weekends; shifts may vary.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year experience as a host(ess), dining room server or related position preferred. CPR/FA Certification required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Communicates effectively, both orally and written, using proper speech and grammar.
• REASONING ABILITY: Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Uses good judgment, takes initiative in identifying hazards, notices residents changes in condition or other situations and respond appropriately and timely. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with demanding clientele in a calm and professional manner.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift 30 pounds occasionally at shoulder height and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to move quickly, bend, stoop, reach and balance.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
