- Correctly transcribe patient demographics and extract pertinent clinical information from requisitions procedure notes.
- Extract and transcribe essential information from electronic medical record and documents provided by outside institution into consultation pathology report.
- Coordinate all activities for inbound pathology consultations.
- Order entry and package materials for esoteric testing by reference laboratories and outbound consultation requests by pathologists.
- Review for completion histology lab reports.
- Reconcile records (i.e., Tumor Board case log).
- Invoice research liver biopsies.
- Submit on-line invoices for select consult cases.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of experience in a related job - medical or laboratory background required.
