Snapshot of Daily Duties

• Correctly transcribe patient demographics and extract pertinent clinical information from requisitions procedure notes.
• Extract and transcribe essential information from electronic medical record and documents provided by outside institution into consultation pathology report.
• Coordinate all activities for inbound pathology consultations.
• Order entry and package materials for esoteric testing by reference laboratories and outbound consultation requests by pathologists.
• Review for completion histology lab reports.
• Reconcile records (i.e., Tumor Board case log).
• Invoice research liver biopsies.
• Submit on-line invoices for select consult cases.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Must Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a related job – medical or laboratory background required.
