What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Provider - SBHC position at One Community Health?
The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) works in a school-based clinic serving primarily high schools with growing number of elementary and middle school patients. The BHC works as a primary care team member and together they focus on providing patient centered integrated healthcare. Our BHCs provide direct clinical services with an emphasis on patient-centered care, early intervention, client empowerment, social justice, and long-term whole person wellness. BHCs assist medical teams in treatment planning and delivery of collaborative care in the treatment of biomedical and behavioral health issues and serves as subject matter expert resource for medical practitioners by providing trauma informed and culturally sensitive consultation. This position is .70 FTE and located in our School Based Health Center in Hood River, Oregon.

- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Doctorate in Psychology (PhD / PsyD)
- Current Oregon and Washington Clinical License or ability to obtain license within two years of hire.
- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC) or ability to obtain certification within two years of hire.
- Desire to deliver high quality services to a diverse multicultural community.
- Proficiency in DSM-V diagnosis and evidenced based treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
- Basic knowledge of psychopharmacological interventions for behavioral health treatments.
- Proficient in crisis intervention, stabilization, and referral.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- One year of experience in public health, healthcare, mental health, substance use, or social work.
- Experience providing integrated mental health and ASAM-PPC 2R assessments
- Familiar with SBIRT treatment model of screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment.
- Proficient in Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
