One City Supportive Service Coordinator

One City is a non-profit that provides non-emergency service programs that empower people to solve their own problems and gain self-sufficiency. One City provides supportive services when there are identified gaps in what the community provides and assists individuals on their journey to self sufficiency. The role of Support Services Coordinator is a significant supportive service role; working with individuals with identified barriers and stigmas related to recovery, mental health, and re-entry.

Full time: 40 hours week; Monday-Friday, occasional weekend availability

Qualifications:

  • BA in Social Work or related Human Service Field and/or experience.
  • Documented minimum two years of freedom from chemical use (including drugs and alcohol).
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
  • Pass an employment background check once an accepted offer has been established.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the organization and dedication to the mission of One City United and to the belief of restoration of individuals in community.
  • Strong leadership skills (one on one and group situations).
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and successfully manage multiple concurrent assignments with competing deadlines and frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities:

  • The purpose of the role of One City Supportive Services Coordinator is to build capacity for individuals in, or in need of recovery, mental health and/or re-entry access to support, including agency and court with the purpose of remediating barriers.
  • First point of contact welcoming visitors, directing them to the proper staff person.
  • Support One City’s Theory of the Stages of Change for participants and graduates in recovery.
  • This role is responsible for strategic advancement of building capacity and maintaining strategic relationships to provide a continuum of supportive services at One City United.
  • This is a highly visible role, both internally and externally and requires strong collaboration and alignment with staff and partner treatment and recovery centers, adult probation and parole and other justice systems.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
  • Accept direct supervision overseen by Momentum Director, MA and Social Service, OCU Board Member, SW and/or MSW.

One City Supportive Service Coordinator:

  • Setting a schedule for weekly group check-in and weekly one on one meetings with Momentum participants related to barrier remediation and social service needs.
  • Engage teams to use evidence-based tools and curricula to teach additional life and social skills, problem solving, and recovery skills with the goal of promoting self-empowerment of participants.
  • Support staff to help participants focus on strengths and become self-directed in their recovery.
  • Community engagement, building and maintaining strategic relationships in the community with organizations, mental health and treatment resource partners, and justice involved organizations and systems.
  • Conduct one on one support and service meetings including entering and maintaining notes per Momentum policies and procedures, daily activities related to participant interaction, helping participants problem-solve barriers that may impact their success in the program.
  • Assist with drug testing for the Momentum program.
  • Enter and maintain case information written/electronic database, referring to & having knowledge of community resources.
  • Coordinates with program staff to develop organizational tools and processes to improve work efficiency.
  • Create and enter data/information, maintain forms and files per One City Executive Director and Momentum Director.
  • Coordinate/ direct and administer new program supports as they become available.
  • Assist in the Momentum classroom as needed.
  • Facilitate Momentum classes as scheduled.
  • Continue to develop, expand and grow the Access Your Opportunities program.
  • Limited administrative duties on a weekly basis as assigned by the One City United Executive Director.
