We are seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant and Administrator to join our team. You will oversee the financial management and administrative processes related to grants, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of grant accounting, including tracking expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring adherence to grant-specific guidelines.
- Oversee general ledger activities using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports that interpret data for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Monitor and manage budgets for multiple grants, including forecasting cash flows, analyzing variances, and supporting audit processes with documentation.
- Support regulatory reporting obligations by preparing schedules for audits when required.
- Prepare monthly reporting to grantors as required.
- Prepare bi-monthly payroll. Prepare tax deposits and quarterly payroll tax returns.
Experience
- Experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budget management, forecasting, and financial report writing.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel data analysis
- Background in non-profit accounting is preferred but will consider all candidates.
- Accounting Degree is required as well as experience with Quickbooks and Excel.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
