Perform duties such as commercial painting, spackling, taping, wall paper hanging, vinyl covering and matching colors.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a member of the Fire Brigade.
- Paint walls, ceiling, doors, trim and floors with brush and roller.
- Stains, varnishes.
- Paints machinery and machine spaces.
- Mix paint.
- Prepares areas for painting by protecting internal appurtenances, and restores after completion of task.
- Prepares surfaces for covering by removal and reconditioning.
- Installs vinyl wall papers.
- Spray paint walls and other areas.
- Ability to match colors.
- Skim coat walls.
- May be required to perform snow detail.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Five (5) years' experience in commercial painting, spackling, taping, wall paper hanging, vinyl covering, match colors.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Consistent with that necessary to work in a variety of patient care and office settings.
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day.
- Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
