Key Roles & Responsibilities
In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:
- Ensure timely revenue invoicing and payments by vendors for all Environmental Investment Recovery efforts including but not limited to the following revenue streams: scrap metal, used/reclaimed oil, wood poles, drained electrical equipment, drained transformers, and auction items.
- Review, reconcile if needed, and verify prices for Environmental invoices and then process invoices in various systems including Warehouse and Waste Management System (W2MS), and Financial Information Management (FIM).
- Understand compliance with existing contract terms and conditions for all investment recovery revenue streams and accounts payables materials and services.
- Ensure compliances with all applicable environmental laws and regulations as well as Department of Transportation shipping regulations.
- Work effectively with Accounts Receivable staff as well as cross-functionally with peers and management to accomplish departmental goals.
- Maintain accurate records of Environmental Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) work.
- Research and resolve accounts receivable issues with vendors such as on-account funds, duplicate invoices, or aged-invoices.
- Investigate service delivery and invoicing discrepancies in order to resolve accounts payable issues for Oncor Environmental.
- Perform data entry and analysis.
- Monitor the American Metals Market Daily for metal price changes and to ensure proper revenue for each commodity and to forecast and identify trends in the market and will, with the help of others, review and ensure that the best market price is obtained for such revenue streams.
- Produce monthly revenue reports for management as needed to support Investment Recovery efforts.
- Develop and run assorted queries and reports to assist the organization in the accomplishments of their tasks and goals.
- Coordinate and complete significant special projects independently or in cooperation with other groups.
- Perform complex administrative activities that require independent initiative and excellent judgment.
- Develop and maintain relationship with peers, management, Supply Chain and Accounting support personnel.
- Ensure all Warehouse and Waste Management System (W2MS) identifying numbers associated with Environmental vendors and revenue are up to date including invoice and payment information, and are closed on a monthly basis.
- Assist in calculating, collecting, and providing numbers for the annual Environmental End of Year Report.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 6 years of related experience in business, accounting/billing, life sciences, geology, engineering or equivalent is required.
- We will consider applicants with a Bachelors degree and two years of relatable experience in lieu of the experience mentioned above.
- Applicants with Lean Six Sigma experience are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants with Environmental or Accounts Payable and Investment Recovery Experience are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of Financial Information Management (FIM).
- Must be able to learn Texas State and Use Tax accrual regulations.
- Must be able to learn about compliance issues dealing with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Minimal supervision required.
- Exhibits knowledge and understanding of Oncor Environmental Accounts Payable and Receivable billing and contractual terms with all vendors.
