Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a clinical staff position at the outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic HOPD, with emphasis on the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN provides clinic-related nursing care and nursing support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing/s vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
Qualifications
Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Demonstrates willingness and ability to maintain clinical competency as required by the department.
IV certification required or ability to obtain.
Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
One Year Of Ambulatory Care Or Hospital Experience Preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Current LPN License.
IV certification required or ability to obtain.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
Not required to operate a vehicle for an assigned business purpose.
A frequent driver is defined as an employee who uses their personal or Shands automobile:
At least once daily; or
At least five individual trips per week; or
Drives an average of more than 150 miles per week in the performance of their job.
The appropriate operator designation should be indicated on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form when the position is submitted for posting.
