Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate – Palliative Care
MaineHealth Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to join our growing Palliative Care team. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide palliative care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients and families living with serious illness throughout the continuum of care.
Most of this position will be based at Pen Bay Medical Center, with responsibilities that include inpatient consultation services and outpatient palliative care clinic visits. As our program continues to grow, this role will play an important part in expanding access to specialty palliative care services for the coastal Maine community.
You will join a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team that includes palliative care physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other clinical partners. Our team works closely with primary care, oncology, hospital medicine, and specialty services to provide patient-centered care focused on quality of life, symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and caregiver support.
The Position Offers
At MaineHealth, we recognize the value each team member brings to our organization. Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and quality incentives.
The annual base salary for this position is within a range from $117,024 to $151,442.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor'sdegree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Graduate of an accredited certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner’s program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant/Associate program.
License/Certification: MaineNP or PA License and DEA.
The Community:
2 years’ experience as an NP/PA is preferred.
