About the Role:
A respected healthcare organization is seeking multiple Medical Physicists to join radiation oncology teams across various cities in Texas. Each center is a modern, community-based cancer facility offering advanced radiation therapy and HDR brachytherapy services.
These roles offer excellent opportunities to work with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Therapists, and other Physicists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, monthly, and annual QA of radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning systems.
- Calibrate and maintain linear accelerators and dosimetry instruments in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and verify treatment plans in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and Dosimetrists.
- Support HDR, SRS, SBRT, and IMRT treatment procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all radiation safety and quality management protocols.
- Participate in audits, process improvements, and clinical project initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency in Medical Physics.
- Valid Texas Medical Board license (or eligibility).
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification or board eligibility.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified Medical Physicist.
- Experience with Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse, or Oncentra treatment planning systems.
- Familiarity with MOSAIQ or ARIA oncology information systems.
- Experience with HDR, SBRT, and SRS procedures.
