Role Description
This is a contract role for a Medical Physicist. The role is located on-site in Stuart, FL. The Medical Physicist will be responsible for treatment planning, ensuring radiation safety, dosimetry, and applying the principles of medical physics in the clinical setting. Daily tasks will include calibration of radiation therapy equipment, consultation with oncologists to develop treatment plans, and conducting quality assurance protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Dosimetry
- Strong knowledge of Medical Physics and general Physics principles
- Expertise in Radiation Safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Board certification in Medical Physics from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent preferred
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field
- Experience in a clinical setting is beneficial
