JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist
REPORTS TO: District Business Manager
DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Administration
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Facilitate the efficient operation of all financial and business affairs of the district including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, purchasing and collections. Learn as a basics of payroll for related reports and deposits. Work under close supervision to ensure accurate and timely preparation of records by following prescribed procedures and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; Knowledge of basic accounting procedures; Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records; Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases and do word processing; Proficiency in keyboarding, calculator, office machines and file maintenance; Ability to work with numbers in accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines; Ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of ASCENDER a plus.
