Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. This role supports daily production by ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience with conveyor systems, motors, electrical components, and preventive maintenance, along with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and support maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, motors, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and basic electrical issues, including low-voltage systems.
• Repair or replace defective components, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical parts.
• Monitor work orders, track equipment downtime, and follow up on outstanding maintenance tasks.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs.
• Coordinate maintenance parts, inventory requests, and equipment supplies using maintenance software.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work order records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and equipment reliability efforts.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and safe work practices while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a similar role.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Knowledge of conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, lubrication systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with maintenance work orders, inventory systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing production needs.
• Basic English communication skills; bilingual candidates preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, hand and power tool safety, PPE, emergency procedures, and authorized Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.

Work Environment

This position requires hands-on work in an industrial production environment. Candidates must be able to respond to equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and follow established safety procedures while supporting daily production operations.
