Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Export Clerk to support daily shipping and export operations.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or warehouse operations and is comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Export Clerk – Export Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emails regarding shipments and customer inquiries.
- Communicate with customers, truck drivers, warehouse staff, and internal departments.
- Enter and update shipment and cargo information in the computer system.
- Process incoming cargo and verify shipment details.
- Assist with driver check-in and check-out when needed.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers.
- Maintain organized electronic records and shipment files.
- Help resolve shipping errors and daily operational issues.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and accurate data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of emails and shipments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to assist with daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cargo Manager or a similar warehouse management system (WMS).
- Knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures.
