Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

On-Site Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, first-shift position working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime and occasional weekends as needed

Pay

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
• Assist machine operators when necessary.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Assist with special projects, including equipment installation, machine modifications, building modifications, and safety improvement initiatives.
• Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and perform repairs and adjustments to keep equipment operating efficiently.
• Assemble, align, and adjust machinery and equipment.
• Create sketches of replacement parts when needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Be available for call-ins related to equipment and building maintenance issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical machine maintenance.
• Experience working with printing and converting equipment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with plumbing systems, including sizing and installing:
• • Copper pipe
  • Black iron pipe
  • Galvanized pipe
  • PVC pipe
  • Gauges, valves, meters, and fixtures
• Experience operating shop equipment and tools, including:
• • Drill presses
  • Milling machines
  • Portable hand tools

Education and Knowledge Requirements

• Must be able to use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including:
• • Power distribution
  • Circuits and wiring
  • Fuses
  • Switches
  • Relays
• Understanding of lubrication procedures, including the proper use of oil and grease.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with the ability to trace and diagnose problems when prints are unavailable.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems and devices.
