The Construction Project Manager plays a critical role in the success of the restoration company by

executing restoration, construction, and cleaning projects while clearly communicating scope and costs to clients, adjusters, and insurance carriers. This role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to oversee projects from initial inspection through final reconciliation. The Project Manager will act as a key representative of the company, ensuring clients receive transparent, timely, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Job Management

• Review and schedule jobs, secure payment, and authorizations before starting work.
• Ensure timely invoicing, address customer concerns, and maintain communication with insurance adjusters and the client.
• Oversee insurance claim processes, documentation, and compliance with carrier-specific procedures.
• Maintain daily updates and accurate records in company systems.

Estimating & Project Support

• Maintain a positive attitude, represent the company professionally, and continually develop industry knowledge.
• Work flexible hours, often exceeding 40-50 hours per week, including on-call and weekend availability.
• Complete required training and certifications (e.g., ASD, WRT, FRST, OSHA compliance).
• Prepare and update project schedules, estimates, and documentation daily.
• Ensure profitable job scopes and estimates, participate in marketing, and maintain strong client and insurance relations.
• Use company software (Chronicle, Xactimate) for all business transactions and documentation.
• Support emergency response, collections, and assist production crews as needed.

Client & Carrier Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with adjusters, agents, facility managers, and clients.
• Represent the company at meetings, inspections, and community/industry functions.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns within 24 hours.
• Educate adjusters and clients on estimating processes and scope details.

Team Leadership & Compliance

• Serve as a member of management by enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Support employee training in estimating, safety, and compliance.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring contracts, pricing, and quality meet the company standards.
• Lead by example by maintaining professionalism, safety awareness, and a positive attitude.
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are properly maintained, documented, and utilized.

Training & Development

• Complete Xactimate Level 1–3 training, Actionable Insights modules, Symbility, Matterport, Hover, and
• IICRC certification.
• Stay current with insurance program SLAs, estimating guidelines, and restoration technologies.
• Participate in weekly training and continuous professional development.

Performance Standards

A Construction Project Manager is considered successful when:

Projects are accurate, profitable, and timely

• Client satisfaction is achieved, as documented by signed Statements of Satisfaction.
• All jobs are completed on schedule, within budget, and with minimal punch lists.
• Communication with clients, adjusters, subs, and team members is proactive and documented.
• Daily and weekly time management, job costing, and production tracking are consistently entered in Chronicle.
• Maintain effective communication, documentation, and follow-up to prevent account loss.
• Promote and enforce safety standards, conduct regular safety training, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in restoration or insurance-related
• Strong knowledge of Xactimate, Symbility, Matterport, Hover, and other industry software.
• Familiarity with IICRC standards and restoration industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel as required.
• Must pass a background and drug screening.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and assist with fieldwork when necessary.
