Tutor Qualifications / Requirements
- Preferred: tutoring or teaching experience in academic subjects (math, reading, writing, science, etc.)
- Able to tutor in person at our Coral Gables location
- Commitment to at least 15 hours per week
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify gaps in student understanding and tailor instruction accordingly
- Capable of creating homework assignments and sourcing additional materials when needed
- Familiarity with both virtual and in-person learning formats
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic tutoring to help students strengthen understanding and improve grades
- Create homework assignments and practice materials based on student needs
- Use provided curriculum and locate supplemental materials when necessary
- Track and record student progress, class performance, and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with students to encourage motivation and confidence
- Communicate effectively with parents and students regarding progress
- Submit brief session notes after each session
- Arrive prepared with lesson materials so no instructional time is wasted
- Adapt teaching methods to match students’ learning styles

- Starting at $30/hour
