Who we are looking for:

· Diesel Technicians for all experience levels

Position requirements: will vary on the level of experience and be discussed at the interview

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or

· One to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards

Position Preferences:

· Vocational technical school training or equivalent experience

· Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred

· Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred

Essential Duties:

· Function as a service technician who can perform minor repairs without supervision.

· Perform work as outlined on minor repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.

· Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair, as directed by a supervisor.

· Assist other technicians with major repairs.

· Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.

· Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

· Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

· Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

· Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

· Document all required information for the successful completion of a warranty claim.

· Possess the ability to work in a team environment.

· Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.

· Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.

· Other duties may be assigned as needed.
