SUMMARY:
The Therapist is responsible for providing client assessments, daily group and weekly individual counseling, crisis intervention and other services to assist the client in the treatment process. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with hours and schedule established to meet client needs; Standard schedule 8-5 Mon - Fri. However, evening and weekend hours may be needed to accommodate the needs of the organization..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of New Day
- Provide individual counseling and group counseling, engage clients, family sessions as necessary for the individualized service plan.
- Prepare written reports, regular case dictation and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional
- Make referrals for higher level/lower level of care as
- Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an Acceptable licensure: CDCA LCDC, LSW LPC, LICDC LISW or LPCC
- Knowledge and experience working with alcohol/drug assessment and case management preferred.
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
- Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication
- Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity of Microsoft
