Kitchen Assistant – Food Service

New Day Recovery is a premier treatment center in Niles, Ohio, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery. Our kitchen and support staff play a vital role in that journey—including through the comforting, home-like experience of a well-prepared meal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in food inventory and control to assure health and safety standards associated with food preparation and serving
- Assist with the preparation of meals and snacks in accordance with recipes
- Serve meals and prepare snacks as required
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, dining, beverage, food service areas, and dining areas
- Maintain kitchen, dietary, and service areas in an uncluttered, safe manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years of age.
- High School diploma/GED equivalent
- Previous work experience in food service preferable
- Physical abilities to perform repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting of objects up to 25 lbs.
