Network Technician (Local to Minnesota Only)

Job Title: Network Technician

Job Duration: 6 months contract possibility to extend

Location: Onsite St Paul, MN

Overview
Seeking a Network Technician to support infrastructure work across multiple locations. This role includes performing work both inside and outside and requires a flexible full-time schedule along with reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Install or replace physical network switches and ports in system infrastructure throughout the organization
Support System Engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
Support and communicate about workspace standard power systems and wireless connectivity issues with the network team
Document work performed using pictures, notes, and shared spreadsheets
Ensure equipment installation is in the proper location of connected infrastructure
Ensure basic installation steps are performed
Communicate setup issues and concerns with System Engineers and the network team
Identify appropriate hardware equipment to be transported and delivered for the required job
Safely load and secure hardware equipment in vehicles
Document appropriate hardware equipment delivered to the System Engineer
Discuss planned hardware transportation, installation, schedule, and connection with the Systems Engineer
Assist the Systems Engineer in layout of new infrastructure equipment
Communicate planned work completion or issues
Provide knowledge transfer to other Network Team members as required
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED and four or more years of relevant work experience; or an Associate or higher degree or two-year college/technical school certification and two or more years of relevant work experience
Flexible full-time schedule
Reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco certification
Azure certification
Experience working with General low voltage power, multi-media connectivity, and SolarWinds
Experience reading blueprints and floor plans
Experience promoting an equitable, positive, and respectful work environment that values culture and diversity among all employees

The projected hourly range for this position is $35-40/hr.

Salary : $35 - $40
