What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Scientist position at On-Demand Group?
We’re looking for a Data Scientist (2–3 years experience) to join a high-impact analytics team focused on both building models from scratch and improving models already in production.
This role sits in a mature data science environment where senior team members own greenfield model development. You’ll focus on end-to-end model work, including development, iteration, monitoring, and ongoing optimization in a fast-paced, agile (2-week sprint) environment.
What you’ll do:
- Build and develop predictive models (Python, SQL, Jupyter)
- Work on personalization, recommendation, churn, and CLV models
- Improve and retrain models already in production
- Monitor model performance and drive iterative enhancements
- Collaborate closely with data engineering and business stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- 2–3 years experience as a Data Scientist or Applied ML role
- Strong Python SQL skills
- Experience working in Jupyter notebooks (cloud environment preferred)
- Exposure to production or deployed ML models
- Experience with model development AND iteration/improvement
- Strong communication and ability to work in a collaborative, sprint-based team
Nice to have:
- Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud ML platforms
- Experience with recommendation systems or personalization models
- Model monitoring, retraining, or CI/CD exposure
The projected hourly range for this position is $70.00- $80.00
