We are not looking for someone who has passed every quality certification exam and can recite the CFR from memory. We have found — repeatedly — that the people who thrive in quality roles are the ones who are genuinely good at problem-solving, documentation, and follow-through.

Industry credentials are a plus. The ability to think clearly, communicate well, and actually close open items is non-negotiable.

This role sits at the center of ODF's operations. You will be the person who catches quality issues before they become client problems, tracks vendor non-conformance through to resolution, keeps label versions accurate, certifications current, and clients informed when something goes wrong.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

This is a solo individual contributor role reporting to the Operations Manager. You are the quality function at ODF.

CERTIFICATIONS AND AUDITS

→ Track and maintain all ODF facility and product-specific certifications

→ Serve as the primary contact for quality audits — preparation, documentation, responses, and corrective action tracking

VENDOR QUALITY AND SLA MANAGEMENT

→ Monitor vendor performance against quality standards and manage corrective action plans

→ Audit current and potential vendors for compliance with ODF's quality requirements

→ Track non-conformance issues from identification through to verified resolution

LABEL TEMPLATE MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE

→ Own label version control across all client SKUs — tracking template changes, quarantining outdated labels, verifying accuracy in our warehouse system

→ Monitor FDA, FTC, and dietary supplement regulatory updates that affect labeling

→ Audit the proofing process for compliance accuracy on a regular cadence

QUARANTINE, DISPOSAL, AND NON-CONFORMANCE

→ Process and document all quarantine and disposal requests within 24 hours

→ Track non-conformance trends and flag systemic issues before they become recurring problems

MANUFACTURING PARTNER QUALITY

→ Manage day-to-day quality communication with our primary manufacturing partner — escalations, lot extensions, Prop 65 requests, and label quarantining

CLIENT QUALITY COMMUNICATION

→ Create quality communication for the support team and communicate directly with clients on quality matters

→ Track Prop 65 notices, recall communications, and all client quality correspondence

SOPs AND DOCUMENT CONTROL

→ Build and maintain SOPs for every recurring quality process so nothing lives only in someone's head

→ Audit processes across departments from a quality standards perspective

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 30 days you have mapped the current quality landscape — what is being tracked, what is not, and where the biggest gaps are.

In 90 days every recurring quality process has a documented SOP and an owner.

In six months clients and internal teams experience quality issues as managed, temporary situations rather than recurring surprises.

The longer-term picture: as ODF scales, this role grows with it. Larger clients bring more complex quality requirements. A quality function that runs well is a competitive advantage. The person who builds that foundation is the person best positioned to lead the quality team that eventually sits under this role.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base Salary: $55,000 to $80,000 depending on experience
