IT Support Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)
Onsite / In-Office – Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY
Two openings available:
- Dayside Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Morning Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Off-hours support and participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
About the Role
On Cue Hire is actively searching for two IT Support Specialists for a contract-to-hire opportunity based onsite in Midtown Manhattan, supporting a fast-paced professional environment within the media industry.
This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who is comfortable providing Level I–II Mac and PC support, thrives in a high-pressure setting, and consistently maintains clear, accurate documentation of technical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level I–II hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and system issues
- Perform macOS and Windows (PC) troubleshooting for end users, both in person and remotely
- Install, configure, image, modify, and repair laptops, desktops, peripherals, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair printers and office IT equipment
- Accurately document all incidents, requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system (e.g., ManageEngine or similar)
- Diagnose issues by asking targeted questions and guiding users through effective resolution steps
- Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues
- Administer and support Active Directory (accounts, permissions, authentication issues)
- Support Azure AD and cloud-based identity/access tools
- Support Office 365 and collaboration platforms
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2–3 support teams as needed, with thorough documentation
- Follow up with users to confirm resolution and gather feedback
- Analyze recurring issues and generate reports to support continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of IT Support / Service Desk experience
- Strong, hands-on macOS support experience
- Hands-on Windows/PC troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting Active Directory
- Experience supporting Azure AD
- Experience in cross-platform (Mac & PC) environments
- Experience supporting Office 365
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and effective in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable working fully onsite in Midtown Manhattan and participating in an on-call rotation
Compensation
- Salary Upon Conversion: $70,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience
- Benefits eligibility begins upon full-time conversion
- (Hourly contract rate is equivalent to the listed salary range when annualized.)
