POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the quality department in ensuring quality processes and procedures are being followed. You will work closely with engineering, customer service, and production teams to solve real-world quality challenges on the manufacturing floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily quality audits.
- Assist Quality team with customer concerns.
- Develop and update technical documentation such as work instructions and quality plans for internal and external use.
- Assist quality team with continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in implementation of quality processes and procedures.
- Assist in problem solving to ascertain sources of quality problems on the Production floor.
- Support Production Development Process (PDP) process by assisting the various groups engaged in the process.
- Aide the production floor in containment activities when issues arise on the floor.
- Provide hands-on support on the production floor when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other hand measurement devices
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work closely and communicate clearly with others.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues when needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- No formal quality experience necessary, but at least 1 year preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools or materials.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment that includes assembly and welding operations. Interns will spend time both in the quality workspace and on the production floor collaborating with the manufacturing team. Noise levels may occasionally be loud, and the environment may include typical manufacturing conditions such as dust.
