What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern position at Audio Radar?
JOB 1 — Gaming Content Creator & Video Intern
About Audio Radar
Audio Radar is a patented gaming technology company based in Zeeland, Michigan. Our product converts 7.1 surround sound game audio into real-time LED light bar visualizations around a gaming monitor — giving deaf and hard-of-hearing gamers the ability to SEE in-game sound direction for the first time, and giving competitive gamers a visual edge. We've shipped 2,500 units, earned 4.75-star reviews, partnered with Logitech G, and showcased at CES 2024 and 2026. Audio Radar 2.0 launches nationally in May 2026.
The Role
We need someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes gaming content. You'll be shooting and editing short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, running our social channels, and building content from scratch out of our gaming garage in Zeeland. If you already make gaming content for fun — even for a small audience — we want to talk to you.
Timeline
- Phase 1: April 20 – May 31 (part-time, flexible around your schedule — this is our national launch window)
- Phase 2: June – August (full-time summer extension for strong Phase 1 performers)
What You'll Do
- Shoot and edit short-form gaming content across TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Capture gameplay footage via capture card (OBS, Elgato, or similar) across CoD, Battlefield, Arc Raiders, Minecraft, Roblox, Valorant, and others
- Add motion graphics, text overlays, and visual effects to video
- Post multiple times per week and manage all social channels daily
- Respond to comments, DMs, and community questions
- Shoot product demos and reaction-style videos for Audio Radar 2.0
- Provide footage for paid Meta ad campaigns
What We're Looking For
- You genuinely game — CoD, Battlefield, Minecraft, and others regularly
- You already make content, even casually — a TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram account is a strong green flag
- You can shoot and edit clean short-form video on phone or desktop
- You know how to add graphics and text overlays to video
- You're a fast learner, optimistic, and self-directed
- Capture card experience is a plus (or you can learn fast)
- Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of ASL or a personal connection to the deaf/hard-of-hearing community is a genuine plus — this product was built for that community
What You Get
- Paid internship — compensation commensurate with experience
- Real portfolio content that actually ran on a national product launch
- Access to a fully equipped gaming garage with multiple PC rigs
- Direct mentorship from the founder (10 years in gaming hardware, previous product in 7,000 retail stores)
- Flexible scheduling around your academic calendar
- Academic credit arrangements available
How to Apply
Email tim@airdropgaming.com with subject: "Content Creator Intern — [Your Name]"
Include: a 60-second video resume (phone is fine — personality over production quality; ASL captions welcome), links to any content you've made, and a note on what games you play. Upload your video to YouTube (unlisted), Google Drive, or Dropbox.

JOB 2 — Graphic Designer & Ad Creative Intern
The Role
We need a designer who can work fast, work dark, and make things look like they belong in a gaming setup. You'll be creating still and video ad creative for Meta campaigns, social graphics, website assets, and motion overlays for video — all in the Audio Radar brand aesthetic. If your portfolio has work that feels premium, techy, or gaming-adjacent, and you want it to actually run in front of real audiences on a live launch, this is for you.
Timeline
- Phase 1: April 20 – May 31 (part-time, flexible around your schedule — this is our national launch window)
- Phase 2: June – August (full-time summer extension for strong Phase 1 performers)
What You'll Do
- Design still ad creative for Meta campaigns — multiple sizes, concepts, and audience variants
- Create animated overlays, lower thirds, end cards, and motion elements for short-form video ads
- Build multiple creative variations quickly for A/B testing
- Design graphics for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Create motion graphic elements for the Content Creator intern to use in video
- Design website banner graphics and product page assets for the AR2 launch
- Support launch collateral — email headers, press kit assets, product comparison graphics
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator — non-negotiable
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics
- A portfolio showing strong visual design — dark, premium, or tech aesthetics are a strong plus
- Ability to work within an established brand identity and push it creatively
- Fast — you need to turn around 3–5 ad creative variants in a single session
- Self-directed, optimistic, and comfortable in an informal garage environment
- Meta ad format experience (carousel, single image, stories, reels) is a bonus
- Motion design beyond After Effects (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a bonus
- Knowledge of ASL or a personal connection to the deaf/hard-of-hearing community is a genuine plus — one of our core audiences is DHH gamers
What You Get
- Paid internship — compensation commensurate with experience
- Real portfolio work — ads that actually ran on Meta, assets on a live product page
- You'll ship more work in one summer than most design internships produce in a year
- Direct collaboration with the founder and the Content Creator intern
- Flexible scheduling around your academic calendar
- Academic credit arrangements available
How to Apply
Email tim@airdropgaming.com with subject: "Design Intern — [Your Name]"
Include: a 60-second video resume (phone is fine; ASL captions welcome), a link to your portfolio (Behance, personal site, or PDF), and a brief note on your Adobe Creative Suite experience. Upload your video to YouTube (unlisted), Google Drive, or Dropbox.
