Dental & Medical Billing Specialist (Oral Surgery)
Location: Davie, FL (Travel to Kendall once a week may be required)

OMS Associates is seeking an experienced Dental & Medical Billing Specialist to join our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with experience in both dental and medical insurance billing who is passionate about helping patients while maximizing insurance reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Submit and manage dental and medical insurance claims.
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
- Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
- Follow up on outstanding, denied, and unpaid claims.
- Appeal denied claims and resolve insurance discrepancies.
- Review patient accounts to ensure accurate billing.
- Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies and patients regarding claims and balances.
- Maintain accurate records while complying with HIPAA and insurance guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience (medical billing experience strongly preferred).
- Experience with CPT, CDT, and ICD-10 coding.
- Strong understanding of dental and medical insurance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or another dental specialty.
- Knowledge of medical claim appeals and prior authorizations.
