POSITION SUMMARY
The Director Business Development position executes strategic plans to manage, develop and create opportunities with existing customers as well as identify and successfully onboard new customers within the assigned territory and assigned railroads. The position supports the evaluation, cultivation, and execution of new business opportunities and delivers insightful analyses to the Sr VP Sales, individual railroad General Managers and the EVP Marketing & Sales. The position will require regular reporting to senior leaders of activities, performance and progress related to both existing customers and potential customers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and present all OmniTRAX products and services: increase product and account penetration with existing and new customers on the assigned properties.
- Partner the Operations team to ensure revenue growth and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Act as lead and support the Accounting team on revenue collection.
- Work closely with Sr VP Sales on strategic initiatives for customer growth and business retention on the assigned properties.
- Monitor car storage and storage in-transit developments on the assigned properties.
- Create annual railroad carload, revenue and EBIDTA budget: Perform quarterly forecast updates.
- Develop a 360-degree view of customer business and contacts and maintain the data within CRM system
- Routinely monitor and revise account profiles for the assigned properties.
- Work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs.

- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- 3-5 years’ business development experience within the transportation industry
- Excellent project and time management skills; prioritize multiple tasks: work efficiently under tight time constraints to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills: quickly establish rapport and create atmosphere of trust in all relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company, customers, business associates
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Proposal development and pricing/costing experience
- Leverage analytics, data, and insights to drive decision-making and action

- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in Rail Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing and/or Oil and Gas industries
