Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Full-Charge Corporate Accountant located in Honolulu, HI. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting, with expertise in various accounting principles and practices. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Produces and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements accurately by scheduled review dates shown below, and demonstrates understanding of these financial reports, knowledge of accounting requirements, etc. This includes review and reconciliation by Corporate CPA on a regular basis.
- Financial reports due 15th of month following closing – P&L, Balance Sheet, maintaining warranties and documentation for Fixed Assets Ledger, Aging A/R and Aging A/P.
- Cost of Sales/Gross Profitability reports twice a month tied to payroll and due the 24th of the month following closing.
2. Year-end reporting involves a performance forecast in January before year-end 3/31 closing; submission of all reports to CPA by May after FYE; working with CPA to finalize for CEO approval and IRS submission, and distribution of year-end profit sharing if any by regulatory deadlines.
3. Implement and manage timely accounting functions including:
- Invoicing
- Accounts Receivable management, including monthly statements/reminders for ARs > 45 days
- Accounts Payable management
- Monthly bank reconciliation with verification by CPA
- General accounting functions including banking, credit cards implementation, insurance, etc.
- Cash flow forecasts and reporting as needed
4. Implement payroll and benefits accurately and in a timely way for full time and part time staff including on-boarding requirements such as necessary tax and other form completions; accurate implementation of payroll; vacation and leave paperwork and adjustments, benefits such as 401k, meeting termination or exit paperwork and requirements, and other payroll reports as required.
5. Human resource management including HR on-boarding, employee benefits management, 401k reporting and distributions, etc.
6. Comply with corporate internal policies, procedures, and processes, whether communicated in writing, orally, or by precedence.
7. Comply with all taxes and regulatory requirements including but not limited to timely filing of GET, corporate income tax, Labor Department employment reports, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs reports, regulatory filings as required in other geographies where Omnitrak does business, etc.
8. Other responsibilities as assigned by the corporation.
Salary Range
$60,000 - $75,000 per year

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 1 years of corporate accounting experience
- General Ledger maintenance experience
- Accounts Receivable experience
- Payroll processing experience
- Benefits Administration experience
- Experience with Tax Law Compliance support
- Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in managing financial records, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Experience in preparing financial statements and reconciling bank statements
- Knowledge of tax preparation and filing
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
