What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Claims Adjuster position at Omnishield Warranty Solutions, LLC?
Bring your hands-on mechanical knowledge into a new environment—where your expertise drives smart decisions, not greasy wrenches.
Omnishield Warranty Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and mechanically savvy professional to join our team as a Mechanical Claims Adjuster. In this role, you won’t just process claims—you’ll be the expert who understands the “why” behind the repair, connects the dots between diagnoses and symptoms, and ensures every claim is handled with accuracy, fairness, and professionalism.
If you’ve ever reviewed a shop’s recommendation and thought, “That doesn’t add up,” this job was made for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate repair claims for automotive service contracts, ensuring consistency between customer complaints, shop diagnostics, and recommended repairs.
- Confirm coverage eligibility, interpreting contract terms and applying them appropriately to real-world scenarios.
- Investigate and authorize claims based on sound judgment and mechanical logic.
- Communicate effectively with repair facilities and contract holders, explaining decisions and guiding next steps clearly and professionally.
- De-escalate tense or emotional calls with empathy, clarity, and calm professionalism.
- Handle up to 50 calls per day from shops, customers, and dealers—each one an opportunity to deliver confident, knowledgeable service.
- Verify submitted diagnostics and parts/labor requests, referencing resources like ProDemand, AllData, and Carfax.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company protocols and timelines.
What You Bring:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to spot inconsistent or unsupported repair recommendations.
- Familiarity with coverage interpretation—you can read and apply policy language like a pro.
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using tools such as ProDemand, AllData, Carfax, and/or warranty software like PCRS or SCS Auto.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A calm, customer-first mindset with strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- ASE certification (current or prior) is a plus.
- Spanish bilingual skills are a strong advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Why Omnishield?
- A chance to transition from the shop floor to a clean, professional office setting—without losing the value of your mechanical skills.
- Supportive, experienced team that respects accuracy, logic, and fairness.
- Real opportunity for growth and recognition based on performance.
If you’re ready to leave the wrench behind but still want to use your expertise to make smart, informed decisions every day, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now—and bring clarity, confidence, and mechanical insight to every claim.
