Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Marketing Communications to lead and execute a comprehensive global marketing communications strategy for our power conversion and power electronics business. This role is responsible for shaping the company’s brand presence, value proposition, and thought leadership across North America , EMEA, and APAC, while driving measurable demand creation and business impact.

The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller, strong people leader, and collaborative partner who can translate complex technical innovation into compelling narratives that resonate with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders worldwide. This role will report to the SVP of Strategy & Marketing and will be located at the OmniOn Power HQ in Plano, TX or Milpitas, CA

Key Responsibilities

Global Marketing Communications Strategy

  • Develop, lead, and execute a global marketing communications strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives across NA, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Define and continuously refine company positioning, messaging, and value proposition narratives for diverse markets and customer segments.
  • Develop a strong company brand, and ensure brand consistency while allowing for appropriate regional localization.

Brand, Digital, and Content Leadership

  • Own global branding strategy, ensuring strong, differentiated positioning in the power conversion and power electronics market.
  • Oversee corporate website strategy, content architecture, and ongoing optimization.
  • Lead social media strategy and governance, ensuring consistent, professional, and engaging presence across platforms.
  • Drive thought leadership programs, including technical articles, white papers, blogs, presentations, and executive visibility initiatives.

Industry Events & Market Presence

  • Set the global strategy for industry events, trade shows, and conferences, aligning participation with demand generation and brand goals.
  • Oversee planning, execution, messaging, and measurement of global and regional events.
  • Ensure events effectively showcase technical leadership and customer value.

Demand Creation & Business Impact

  • Partner with sales and business teams to ensure marketing communications efforts support demand creation and pipeline growth.
  • Define KPIs and measure effectiveness of campaigns, content, and programs; continuously optimize based on results.
  • Demonstrate a track record of marketing communications that move the needle for the business.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, product management, sales, and business leaders to deeply understand technologies, applications, and customer needs.
  • Translate technical innovation into clear, compelling marketing and communications materials.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on brand, messaging, and market perception.

Team Leadership & Team Player

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing communications team.
  • Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and results-oriented team culture.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, including agencies and regional teams.
  • Collaborative team player within marketing communications team and across other functions in the company

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in marketing communications, preferably in B2B, industrial, power electronics, or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven experience developing and executing global marketing communications strategies across NA, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and business teams to deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Chinese language proficiency (spoken and written) is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience in power conversion, energy, industrial automation, semiconductors, or related industries.
  • Experience managing agencies and global marketing partners.
