It requires a steady operator – someone who can navigate complex employee matters with objectivity and sensitivity, and who is equally comfortable strengthening processes, leveraging technology and driving disciplined execution.
This position requires 20% travel to support property teams directly and partner with the Chief People Officer and regional leadership.

- Coach managers and property leadership on best practices for employee engagement, documentation, corrective action, and terminations
- Lead and document internal investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes
- Support leave management (FMLA, ADA, state‑specific leaves) and accommodations in partnership with leadership and external vendors
Leadership & Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, property managers, and regional leaders on people‑related decisions
- Strengthen the operating norms that drive performance, professionalism, and respectful workplace conduct

- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with business needs and regulatory requirements
- Support onboarding and off-boarding processes for both corporate and property‑level employees
- Partner with Finance and Operations on headcount planning, payroll forecasting, and workforce reporting
- Ensure consistent application of HR practices across geographically dispersed properties
Payroll & Compliance
- Oversee multi‑state payroll processes for salaried and hourly employees, including on‑site property staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
- Partner with third‑party payroll providers to manage audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS and payroll systems; ensure data integrity

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 6 years of progressive HR experience, with direct responsibility for payroll and employee relations
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑state payroll and labor compliance
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, state wage laws)
- Experience supporting hourly, distributed, or operations‑heavy workforces (property management, hospitality, retail, or similar)
- High level of discretion, sound judgment, and ability to manage sensitive situations
