What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Helper position at OmniMax New Logo?

Position in Duluth, Georgia - Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS (list in order):
- Pick up all production floor trash and dump into the 30-yard container outside three times daily.
- Pick up weigh all production scrap metals. Weigh scrap and record weight on the scrap data sheets then dump into the Aluminum or steel 40-yard containers outside two times daily.
- Compact down both steel and aluminum 40-yard containers twice weekly.
- Contacts vendors for trash and scrap metal pick up.
- Responsible for keeping the back lot and employee parking areas cleaned up.
- Drives floor sweeper through the entire plant twice daily.
- Maintains PMs on floor sweeper twice a week.
- Follow safety guidelines in accordance with company standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED
Skills:
- 1-3 years of Forklift experience
- Accuracy in checking and posting qualities and related data.
- Detail Oriented- Be able to view surroundings and operate Forklift / Sweeper in a safe manner.
- Moderate physical effort to handle materials, make up orders.
- Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work with little to no supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
- Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
