What You’ll Do
As an operations specialist, you’ll be asked to provide support to our nationwide distribution center teams around various centralized operation disciplines, primarily focused around Safety, facility management, and other operational support work within the department.
This role will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Become the primary SME and administrator for both our safety and Facility management software platforms
- Create forms and training courses using our Safety and facility platforms that help our management team more easily identify unsafe work conditions within our workspaces.
- Act as the primary Houston site point of contact for office and pantry products. This includes ordering, stocking and storage of all related products.
- Assist and collaborate with others in planning and executing local events and programs (office lunches, culture committee support, and community outreach)
- Support nationwide office product ordering process-act as a central point of contact for national office product vendor and ensure best pricing and appropriate usage by site.
- Manage vendor setups, RFPs, Certificates of Insurance, work order management, and other facility related needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Coordinate with onsite management the day-to-day operations of the facilities, including scheduling and supervising facility related maintenance work either through internal or external means.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Provide additional general administrative and clerical support to the OmniCable operations team in areas around Claims, QA compliance, Auditing, and Inventory control.
Work Experience
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Must be comfortable using excel spreadsheets and Power BI to drive operational improvement.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in cross functional teams
