Carpenter’s Assistant/Driver responsibilities include:
- Cleaning job sites by sweeping, dusting etc.
- Performing maintenance and light repairs at the direction of the site supervisor.
- Pick-up and delivery of materials and other supplies needed for job sites.
- Completing tasks assigned by site supervisor with little or no supervision.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Local, well-established and respected remodeling company in
Brentwood, TN. looking for a reliable Carpenter’s Assistant/Driver to undertake remodeling tasks at the interior or exterior of job sites. We’ll rely on you to keep our job sites in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. We’ll also rely on you to pick up and deliver materials and other supplies needed at multiple job sites.
Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well-organized, dependable, and able to manager your time in order to complete your assigned tasks. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job. A list of tasks you may be asked to perform include:
- Clean job sites by sweeping, dusting etc.
- Perform maintenance and light repairs
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
- Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. build cabinets)
- Repair equipment or appliances
- Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Pick up and deliver materials and supplies to various job sites.
Requirements
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Understanding of basic corded/cordless hand tools
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Fluent in the English language.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
