Currently, our client is looking for a Plastics Engineer with a background in injection molding to join their team.
Duties of the Plastics Engineer include:
Improve injection molding processes through continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot issues with injection molding processes and implement resolutions
Create SOPs for new injection molding processes and update SOPs to improve current processes
Work with maintenance to determine technical issues with equipment and acceptable troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of parts
Assist with new model launches
Monitor KPIs and resolve or improve processes based on findings
Ensure injection molded product compliance with necessary quality standards and eliminate part defects
Work with equipment operators to ensure smooth mold changeovers
Reduce scrap where possible
Qualifications of the Plastics Engineer include:
A degree or equivalent experience with injection molding processes
Previous technical experience with injection molding processes is essential
Proven experience improving injection molding processes through Continuous Improvement and/or Lean
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
