Position Overview
As a Strategic Account Manager – National Distributor Programs, you will own and lead key national distributor relationships at the corporate decision maker level. This role is responsible for developing structured, long term distributor programs that convert complex, high value opportunities into sustained, scalable growth.
You will own distributor programs end to end—shaping account strategy, establishing priorities, and coordinating execution across Sales, Engineering, Estimating, Operations, and Leadership. This role is intentionally proactive and program driven, focused on long term partnership.
Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, executive level engagement, and disciplined follow through. The Strategic Account Manager – National Distributor Programs uses CRM systems, LinkedIn, sales intelligence platforms (e.g., Apollo.io), and AI enabled tools to guide opportunity prioritization, strengthen alignment, and ensure consistency over time.
This position is primarily onsite in Alpena, Michigan, with travel as needed to support strategic accounts, distributor alignment, and long term program execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead national distributor programs with clear direction and accountability
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate level decision makers and key influencers
- Establish account strategies, growth plans, and engagement priorities aligned with Omni capabilities
- Proactively identify and advance high value distributor opportunities
- Coordinate internally across Sales, Engineering, Estimating, Operations, and Leadership to drive execution
- Conduct regular strategic reviews with distributor partners to assess performance and alignment
- Use CRM, LinkedIn, Apollo.io, and AI enabled tools to guide prioritization and engagement
- Represent Omni Metalcraft during strategic meetings, site visits, and industry events
Skills Needed
- Experience managing strategic or national level B2B customer relationships
- Ability to engage senior level stakeholders and influence decision making
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort coordinating across multiple internal teams and functions
- Experience using CRM systems and structured account management practices
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working with distributor or channel driven sales models
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing or engineered to order products
- Experience managing multi location or national customers
- Working knowledge of AI tools, LinkedIn, and Apollo.io
Knowledge Required
