The Glass Shop Supervisor will lead a team including the loaders and drivers within a commercial window and door fabrication facility in addition to cross-organization collaboration with Project Managers. Our Oshkosh location fabricates materials used in the commercial construction glazing industry.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the loading department and ensure a high level of complete and on-time deliveries. This will require attention to detail & accuracy.
- Oversee the delivery of jobsite materials, drivers, and the delivery schedule.
- Ensure quality of the trucks, trailers, and other related equipment needed for loading and delivering jobsite materials.
- Coordinate heavily with in-house Project Managers for loads and deliveries exiting the Glass
- Coordinate with the Glass Shop and Operations Manager to ensure receiving and fabrication will line up with loading/deliveries and vice versa (fabrication schedule housed by DMO).
- Work with the Operations Manager to maintain a high level of quality control of materials that are loaded and delivered.
- Meet scheduled deadlines and forecast bottlenecks.
- Meet regularly with the Operations Manager to discuss logistics, schedules, and continuous improvements.
- Oversee the Tool Crib section of the fabrication facility; back stocking as needed.
- Work directly with the glaziers/field installers who may need tools, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Technically minded and detail orientated.
- Strong communication both 1:1 and in groups.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire others.
- Great problem-solving skills with a track record of strong consistent results.
- Understanding of Microsoft products: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proactive approach instead of reactive work mentality

- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Experience in construction/manufacturing/fabrication – Required
- Must have a valid driver's license – Required
- Must be 18 years old – Required
- Must be able to work independently and as a team- Required
- Ability to work professionally with others – Required
- Able to follow instructions – Required
- Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime hours as needed - Required
- Education or experience in engineering, business, or a similar field is a plus - Preferred
- 5 years of supervisory experience– Preferred
- Past delivery or construction experience – Preferred
- Experience with hand and power tools – Preferred
- Ability to use a forklift – Preferred (will train)
