Primary Job Responsibilities
- Conduct meetings and troubleshooting with EHR software vendors regarding message failures
- Oversee EHR software implementation, training, and support for providers enrolled
- Manage the technical interface between EHR providers and site locations
- Provide data training and troubleshooting to healthcare providers and medical software companies
- Conduct routine review and maintenance of data connectivity for service site locations
- Work with Field Trainers to assist in the data upload process and troubleshoot issues
- Participate in virtual meetings with the Interoperability Team and Field Trainers weekly
- Perform data quality audits and communicate with organizations to address connectivity errors
- Meet monthly with the relevant staff of the Department’s Immunization Section
- Communicate progress with Field Trainers and team members via emails, phone calls, and reports
- Update specification documents as directed
- Assist with consolidation requests and VFC PIN transfers for organizations enrolled
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and conventions for continued education
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in management and EHR software
- Thorough understanding of data upload technical requirements for the Immunization Information System
- Knowledge of HL7, VXU, QBP, and SOAP web service envelope messages format
- Experience with software vendor web service connection processes and testing
- Familiarity with documenting immunizations in EHR systems
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects and customers simultaneously
- Current knowledge of CDC vaccine code updates and manufacturer codes
